Job Description
Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities
- Define the department’s objectives to align with the company’s human resources goals.
- Manage compensation, benefits, performance management, safety, and recreation programs, ensuring effective execution of HR action plans.
- Recruit, interview, and select candidates to fill staff vacancies.
- Assign human resources appropriately to match individuals with suitable roles.
- Provide employees and applicants with information on company policies, job responsibilities, working conditions, compensation, promotion opportunities, and benefits.
- Foster a positive work environment by advising both management and employees, facilitating communication, and organizing recreational activities.
- Guide managers on HR policy issues such as equal employment opportunity and harassment, recommending necessary changes.
- Review and propose compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness and legal compliance.
- Act as a mediator between management and staff, addressing questions and resolving workplace issues.
- Assess training needs and design employee development programs.
- Keep records and prepare reports on personnel data, including hiring, transfers, and performance reviews.
- Examine data to identify personnel challenges and recommend improvements for HR policies and practices.
- Supervise job evaluations, classifications, and position ratings.
- Lead or manage special initiatives like pay equity and employee recognition programs.
- Monitor departmental expenses to stay within budget.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth operations and achieve objectives.
- Support the implementation and success of 5S, SHE, and ISO 14001 programs.
- Uphold and effectively implement the company’s quality policy within HR functions.
- Assist in launching new company programs.
- Liaise with government agencies as needed.
- Set up control systems and delegate responsibilities within the department.
- Ensure fair and effective performance appraisal processes.
- Work to enhance employee morale and satisfaction.
- Model commitment to the company’s values.
- Comply with all internal and external EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) rules and risk management requirements.
- Use the safety calendar as a tool to monitor safety performance and promote EHS culture.
- Uphold the principles of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Law, Human Resources Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
Additional Information
- Possess 10 years of direct experience in Human Resources, including three to five years in managerial capacity. Demonstrated expertise in human resources management within a manufacturing environment.
